👩‍💻 Professional Interests
My interests are at the intersection of bioinformatics and applications of ML/DL. With my undergraduate training in experimental biology and my graduate career in bioinformatics and ML/DL, my strength lies in the ability to address complex biological/biotechnological questions using cutting-edge computational methods. Impact-driven, I am equally passionate about the engineering aspects of bioinformatics and ML/DL as I am about the scientific aspects. Through my two internship experiences as an ML scientist and ML engineer, I have gained hands-on experience in ML productionization, scaling, and model CI/CD pipelines.
🤝 Who am I professionally?
I am a highly driven, curious, and collaborative worker. I find it rewarding when the quality of my work has a direct impact on my team/organization’s success. I find joy in continuous growth, and thrive in an environment where I can tackle new challenges. I love working in a team of people with diverse backgrounds and strengths. Through my experiences with managing student organizational leadership teams, I have developed a collaborative leadership style to play to each member’s strengths.
🌱 Who am I personally?
I am an avid reader and history enthusiast! I read very broadly, but have a soft spot for historical fictions and non-fiction works about technological history, anthropology, or sociology. I also love cooking (favorite cuisine: home-cooked Japanese!), hiking, and social sports like squash and climbing.
